Actually there is neither a Black nor a White Sabbath: the ethical criterion of all acts is whether they are anti-social or so motivated. Where two or more of a kind of equal maturity and inclination enact for consummation, then, if harm they do it is only to themselves—which I doubt—and far less harmful than the practices of those who mutilate or deny their bodies in the name of a culture or a religion. The latter are invariably prophets or propagators of sterility, whereas the one outward tenet of Witchcraft is silence to "unlike others".
The Sabbath is an inverse-reversion for self-seduction, an undoing for a divertive conation. Sex is used as the technique and medium of a magical act. There is not only erotic satisfaction; the sensualist is made detached and controlled until final sublimation; his whole training is submissive and obedient until, by cold amoral passion, he can transmute control and divert him- or herself where desired.
The Witch so engaged is old, grotesque, worldly and libidinously learned and is sexually attractive as a corpse; yet she becomes the entire vehicle of consummation. This is necessary to transmute the personal aesthetic culture. Perversion is used only to overcome moral prejudices or conformity; the mind and desire must become amoral, focused and made entirely acceptive so that the life-force is free of inhibitions prior to the control. Thus, the Sabbath becomes a deliberate sex-orgy for the purpose of materialization: the Great Reality of 'as if' (wishful thinking). Sex is fully exploited: he who injures none, himself does not injure.

Even if you don't believe in all the concepts Monroe puts forth, you will certainly question reality and look at life in a whole new light after reading this book.This book, along with the rest of Monroe's work has become a major defining element in my life. Before learning about Monroe, I felt very alone in this world. I wasn't sure if all the religious stuff I had heard over the years was true, or if there was some greater truth. But after reading this book, it all started to click. I finally started to see the "bigger picture", and have since lived my life accordingly.
If you are deeply rooted in religion, this book will be difficult for you; especially if you are not willing to entertain the notion that your religious beliefs may be false. But, if you can put your beliefs aside and read this book with an open mind, you will benefit greatly.

This is a beautifully written practice manual for Bön Dzogchen (~Buddhist Nyingma or old school) dream & sleep yogas based on the Mother Tantra. The author confirms most Western psychological views of dreams but, though some object, states that lucid dreaming (in which the dreamer is conscious & in control) is of great spiritual as well as psychological value. He states, despite some Buddhist authors, p. 12: "how greatly dream is valued in Tibetan culture & in the Bön religion, & how information from the unconscious is often of greater value than the information the conscious mind can provide." He provides a sensitive, balanced, non-extremist perspective-pp. 25-6: "Cultural ignorance is developed & preserved in traditions...

-Enochian Temples
Well, first there was Enoch who `walked with God'. He was given knowledge denied to Adam after the fall. This is to be found in the Apochrypha to the Old Testament. Then in about 1580 there was Dr John Dee, Astrologer to Queen Elizabeth I of England and reputedly one of the greatest minds of the European Renaissance. With the aid of his `colourful' visionary mystic, Edward Kelly, he contacted certain `beings' who said the time had come to restore some of this knowledge to `man'. Tables of numbers and letters were duly noted, a series of `calls' in an unearthy language were also given. Dee had to work in secret as the Papal authorities wanted to burn him (as they had Giordano Bruno). He hid his books. Miraculously they were preserved. The material they contained consituted the Summum of many occult groups such as The Golden Dawn who hijacked it for their own purposes. Benjamin Rowe has set about putting much of this material in order, and experimenting with invocational and meditative techniques to determine it's value and function. In doing so he has re-contacted the beings who informed Dee and Kelly. They have given him methods to develop further the work of raising the consciousness of the human race. This is not a book for dabblers. Firstly, the practices are demanding. Secondly, the work is serious. Thirdly, he applied a healthy critical attitude to his experiments. Find here a grand synthesis of the Enochian System. An analysis of its functionality, and methods to tap its energies. Find here also new material following on directly fom the historic discoveries of our elizabethan magi. If mystery and occult knowledge is your thing, this is a book to read and re-read. Dione Fortune first published The Mystical Qabbalah in 1935. She was a member of the prestigous occult society, The Golden Dawn, and so many of the approaches this book takes draw from that order's conclusions. Aleister Crowley's ideas permeate this book as well. This book is written with a deeply prosaic style and study upon the text reveals layers of meaning. Considering the book was written over 60 years ago by a exceptional woman, in an age where women were far from being equal, I candidly recomend this title.

Reade's role is similar to that of Harold Bloom: a provocateur who asks annoying questions and starts an argument that is too strong to absorb all at once, but which plants a seed in the mind. Provocateurs are important. By degrees their ideas steal in to one's questions and thoughts and have more influence than one would like to admit. - Egyptian Book of the Dead

This edition of Budge's book of the Dead is not the same as the Dover edition (the Papyrus of Ani). It's in fact an edition Budge published a few years later (The Chapters of Coming Forth by Day), and it's a compilation of all the papyri available at the time, making this the most complete edition of the Book of the Dead available today. The translation itself has over 3 times the material in the earlier edition, and the translation is more polished than Budge's earlier work. If you have the Papyrus of Ani, I recommend you get this as well, as you're missing out on a ton of material. While the binding and presentation is not as good as the Dover, in terms of contents it is unbeatable.

-Develop Your Psychic Abilities

It's said we only use 10% of our brain. I never really believed that. I figured scientists just haven't been able to figure how we use the rest so if they don't know then of course nothing's happening, it doesn't exist, it's not used,etc. Reading this book I think gives a clue to what goes on with the other 90%. You do have to be open-minded to consider the possiblities. My only issue with the book is it presents everything as if it's only used in a positive way when it seems clear to me that some of these techniques can be used (and has been no doubt) in a negative manner. I think the author should address that more.

The 'Key To The True Kabbalah' is a logical progression of Bardon's earlier book, 'Initiation Into Hermetics', which should be read and practiced first. The 'Key To The True Kabbalah' intoduces the reader to the 'Cosmic Language' and a very thorough process of manifestation. Although the writting is sometimes confusing and wordy, it does communicate these ideas if the reader is willing to make a committed effort with mind, body, and soul. The idea of this book is easy to say but hard to master: The Universe is based on the principle of Cause and Effect. One simply wishes with on a particular plane a letter's sound, color, element and meaning. We then create the desired effect on the intended mental, astral or physical plane. With noble intentions, strong intent and much practice one becomes a 'Creator' on a Cosmic Level. The possibilities are limitless for someone who consciously goes beyond a 'mental' understanding.
